About Me
Maurizio Picciotti was born in Milan (Italy),when he was ten he discovered a great passion for the electronic music, thanks to older friends who taught him to mix the dance music of the early Eighties. At the same time great interest in electronics came out, and in 1982 he obtained a Sinclair Spectrum 16K, with which he gradually learned to program in Assembler Z80.Maurizio, otherwise, spent most of his time listening to dance music and, when he was 16 year old, started his experience as a DJ at private parties and local discos. While keeping on with his electronics studies, he started musical experimentation on the sampler Casio FZ-1, which he later sold for a synth Oberheim Matrix-6.In a short time he created a home-studio, including an Atari 1040ST for Cubase sofware. After he finished his studies, he was employed by a small electronics company; the musical experimentation became a dance project, published in 1991 by Media Records Italy under the Alkimia name. The project had a relevant success both in Italy and abroad. Following this success, Media Records issued many other dance tracks under different names, among which Mig 27,Mig 31 and Enterprise. Maurizio therefore left his job as electronics technician and dedicated himself totally to musical production and DJ activity.Early in 1995, after four successful and and satisfying years, personal reasons forced Maurizio to leave the musical word. Without selling his studio, he started to work as IT technician, both hardware and software, thus acquiring a very good and high experience in Unix/Windows systems. In 2002, following the IT company crack, Maurizio restarted the never abandoned passion for electronic dance music. In 2003 he met Alex Bartlett aka Fabio XB Bartlett Bros. This led in 2004 to the beginning of team productions that merged the group members different musical experiences.New important projects were created and the team got stronger.
Thanks also to the cooperation of important foreign groups and DJ's the productions are supported by top dj's, bbc radio 1 and clubs in all europe.Since March 2006 he also collaborates as IT Manager with the Italian group Digitalmagics, inside the corporate area.
