~MUSICAL BACKGROUND~
Music has always been a huge part of my life somehow. Listening to the Rolling Stones at the age of 5 helped my taste in music. Later, in high school, I briefly played the piano and clarinet in our music class. The music class failed as a band, resulting in the lack of a school band that year. Due to the fact that my parents wanted a young Liberace on their hands, they enrolled me in Classical Piano & Organ lessons at the Conservatory of Music in Laval Québec. Unfortunately, I dropped out after a long 8-year period. This was brought on by my lack of being taught by someone else. Before that, I always sang and still sing today. I've a natural ear for music (singing & keyboards).
For 8 years, I played an antique "two-console" pipe organ at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Ville St-Laurent. On various occasions, I played on a smaller electric organ at the front of the church. My major "performances" were during 8 o'clock mass on Christmas Eve each year. I also played for church weddings, funerals and filled in as replacement organist on various Sunday mornings. During those 8 years at the church, I was paid for my services. Additionally, I sang in that same church choir for 12 years. Below are photos of me at the organ:
