CHALAY & Evolve

The CHALAY group, was founded through a merger of culture. Established in 2004 by owner Evolve, the company's line of products are designed to celebrate the essence of cultural pride.CHALAYs. debuted its first tee collection during the summer of 2003 at a West African gathering in upstate NY, attended by well over 8,000 people from across the U.S. The idea for the line was inspired by a tee given to Evolve as a child during a family outing. "When we set up our booth at the picnic, we expected only Ghanaian people would purchase our wears because of what was printed on the front of them, 100% Ghanaian. To our suprise, we discovered that many people from different backgrounds--West Indians, Americans, Latinos, etc--wanted to capture the essence of that day through our clothing. We later created "...FOR THE WEEKEND", for those that like to travel, celebrate, or just get away from it all. "CHALAYs.....our style fits all".
