Christine Joan

Christine Joan Johnson – (alias C.J.) was born in Jamaica, with American nationality.
In 1989 she left Manhattan for Italy where she began her acting career, working with actors like Liza Minelli, Burt Reynolds, Vittorio Gassman, Giancarlo Giannini. She also appearanced on national television as a guest on the “Maurizio Costanzo Show” (1992) and later as a dancer at Karaoke with Amadeus (1994). She organized many spectacular and big party events in some of the most famous Italian clubs, she wrote and organized her first group called I.C.T. arriving immediately in the charts with her first singing “ Lasciate Tentare” hitting number 2 all over Europe. C.J. went on working on her project I.C.T. and along the way she collaborated with other important people, creating an interracial team working on artistic production/creation with no linguistic and national barrier: music and philosophy of different cultures developed through the lyrics of her songs.
It ranged over from Hip Hop to R&B, Soul and Funk. A mix of French, Spanish, English, Italian and Jamaican rap mixed together and arranged by her. gives actuality and peculiarity to the texts sounds, concentrating on communication, image and dance, all supported by great vitality and energy. Holland, 1997: many appearances in National Televisions; guest of the sport show “Gala Gol”; only international guest at “Queen Party 97” in Amsterdam (50.000 people). They made appearances at many festivals in Holland along with many concerts in Italy at “Territorio Match Music” – 1997/1998 C.J. is a writer and composer she writes poems songs and books… In the time been she is now working on a very big project call Jamit Music Production Inside this production you will find a strong heart of custom made experiences - Jamit - Jamit 4 Gospel - Jamit 4 the kids Is a handful of authentic energy, her natural born way of writing and producing gives her creation a sound of originality.
