About Me

I'm currently a busy member of the Part Time Heroes ...mostly saving the world etc. but also playing some cool venues such as Cargo , Notting Hill Arts Club and the amazing Big Chill festival. We've also been luck enough to play a live session at BBC Radio 1's Maida Vale Studios in London for Gilles Peterson's Worldwide show.

I play with my brother, Jono McCleery whenever I can - and I've been know to bang some notes alongside some pretty cool DJ's like Mark Rae (at the ice cool Mono ) and Eddie Pillar (at the funky Soul Cellar ). And lately I've done some great live gigs with Stac who's wonderful single 'Balls Bounce' is out now on vinyl (B side is a tasty Bonobo remix btw).

When not behind a piano I can often be found propping up the bar at the Cricketers .

A note about the songs on my page:
(1) November - I wrote this in November. Yep. Falling leaves, change, rustling etc. It's a bit unfinished but maybe it's supposed to be?
(2) Dreaming - I wrote this when I was asleep. No really.
(3) This Pain Away - Written & produced by myself featuring Laura Vane on vocals.
(4) Call Me - This song is written and performed by Jono McCleery live at the Larmer Tree Festival a few years ago. Marie Kitchen is playing Cello and I'm playing my beloved Fender Rhodes.
(5) Dancing Walk - Written by myself and featuring the outstanding Dylan Clark on double bass (& production). This was recorded back in Autumn of 2004. News just in... My thin vocals are soon to be replaced by the wonderful Bridgette Amofah !
(6) Have I Ever Seen you Dance - Written & produced by myself featuring Lucy Kitchen on vocals.
