About Me

Darcey is now 6 years old and is in the first grade. Last year, when she was five, she recorded her first original song, "I Had a Little Cat" which she wrote both music and lyrics for. She likes to point out that it is a country and western song. She is learning the fiddle. Her preference is old time country music. Last year she was equal winner on ABC Radio 702's Idle Australians, where she sang a medley of "Will the Circle be Unbroken" and "You are my Sunshine". Also last year she acted in Academy Award winning director, Jane Campion's film,"The Water Diary", which featured at the Canne Film Festival. She appeared in "Kids Can -the Film" and Justine Clarke's DVD of "I Like to Sing", from her top selling CD of the same name. She made her debut in live theatre in Sydney's NEW THEATRE production of "Simon Lee", in their series of Banned Plays and played in the World Premiere of award winning author Libby Hathorn's play "The Tram to Bondi Beach". She also sang backing vocals on a song for Tony King, Australia's most awarded songwriter in 2006. Currently she is working on writing some more songs and intends to record a CD in the near future.
