About Me

**IMPORTANT NOTE TO THOSE LOOKING TO ADD TRTA**
I look at each profile before adding a person. If your profile has nudity (or almost-nudity) of any kind -- this includes your personal photos on your blog, in your comments space, etc., I WILL NOT add you. It's not that I'm being prudish, but this is an abuse prevention site and there ARE minors on this site. I refuse to be responsible for enabling the very thing I'm fighting against. If you're denied a friend request, please message me and kindly ask me why. Keep an eye on who and what is being posted on your personal space! Thank you!
This is my blog and profile to go along with my child advocacy website, The Road To Anaphe. TRTA began as a few pages on a personal website after a young NHL player by the name of Sheldon Kennedy came forward and disclosed abuse he suffered at the hands of his juniors coach, Graham James. Since its formal inception in June of 2000, the site has grown tremendously, not only following Sheldon through the ups and downs of his post-NHL career, but also has huge stories archived on the site that people can learn from and know how to not make the same mistakes again.
Today, Sheldon continues to work for safety in sport up in Canada. To check out what he's involved in and get in touch with Sheldon himself, please check out the following links:

To visit the only online website with full archives of Sheldon's story from the beginning to the present, please visit The Road to Anaphe . If you would like to talk to others involved with TRTA, please feel free to join our website message board at http://roadtoanaphe[dot]forumer[dot]com (please be aware that we do screen for spammers and may email you for legitimacy verification).
