My name is Nina Baldridge- I have been in the music industry for 25 years. I started out in LA working at Tower Records (RIP) and doing independant production coordination for artists like Stevie Nicks. Then was offered a job as Studio Manager for John Van Nest and Harry Maslin (the best bosses on the planet!) at Image Recording in Hollywood. There I worked with a ton of incredible artists such as Guns and Roses (I was there with producer Mike Clink when they did the "Sweet Child of Mine" demos!), R.E.M., the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Jefferson Starship, Kenny Loggins, Madonna, Prince and many others. I was also there for the first Leathal Weapon movie's soundtrack and worked with the late Michael Kamen (such an amazing person!!) and James Guthrie( Prod/Eng for Pink Floyd and many others and also amazing person for sure) After that I went to Arizona and formed a Theatre Company where I was the Artistic Director/Choreographer. I ran that company for 7 years while my son was a little sprout and before deciding to move to Atlanta and get back into the music scene. I was the Studio Manager of Tree Sound Studios for 8 years here in Atlanta and I was able to work with artists such as Matchbox 20, Elton John, Sevendust, Alter Bridge, Shinedown, LIVE, Collective Soul, Ciara, Dave Matthews, Fuel, Outkast, Mike Willis and Cartel just to name a very few! I just left recently to work exclusively on Artist Management, Music Video Production and consulting .
I know the industry well and know what it takes to make it. I have seen great artists, engineers, and producers who have made it and some that are still in the wings. I manage some really great Artists, who I have the utmost respect for. Greedy White Citizens, Gravity Burn, A New Effect and Dead Stays Alive. They are all on myspace so check them out.
If you need help, I offer consulting services at a nominal fee. I can do an overview of your project and point you in the right direction, get a game plan going for you and hook you up with reputable people who I trust and respect that will help you make it happen. So if you are an artist and are just starting out please don't set foot in a studio without talking to me first. There are so many pitfalls that artists can avoid there. I am here to help you do that. I can also get a Music Video or promo video done for you if you need that. I work with some of Atlanta's most talented Video Production folks. I have produced and directed several music videos for my bands and others as well, check them out. It doesn't and shouldn't cost as much as you may think so hit me up about that if your band has been thinking about cutting a music or promotional video. If you like the logos my bands have I can connect you with one of Atlanta's most talented graphic design artists. She knows the music industry and can make your logo and promo materials ROCK!...oh yeah , did I mention photo shoots??? I can arrange photographers , coordinate the shoot, and do art direction, make up , and stylize for that for you.
