I was born and raised in Tamale, in the Northern Region of Ghana. I come from a "drumming family" learning traditional tribal drumming and dance since I was four years old. My father and grandfather taught me the "language" of drum, used for centuries to communicate between rural tribes and communites. The passion to dance and drum is now in my blood! I do all that I can to travel, teach, perform, and help others. A few years ago I built a small dancing school in "Choggu" Tamale, where children can come to dance, drum, and learn about the history and beauty of our traditional culture. Most recently I have been invited to teach and perform in Minneapolis Minnesota! Now that I am here, I want to do anything I can to dance, to share my experiences and to help my family and community in Tamale.I want to learn, teach, and help people in my couuntry and others in Africa.
