Man, everybody got they own story as to what happened but only those who were really at the scene knows.Mitchell was at a party Saturday night in Arlington when a group of unwanted guests arrived, said Det. John Brimmer of the Grand Prairie Police Department. The late arrivals were asked to leave.Mitchell left the party with friends shortly afterward, but the car he was in broke down, said Brimmer. The group that had been asked to leave the party arrived in a red Dodge Durango, and the two groups got into physical confrontation.Mitchell left in a 1991 Honda that had arrived to pick him up.But as the Honda was waiting at a traffic light in Grand Prairie about 1:30 a.m., the Durango pulled up, and somebody in the SUV fired several shots at the Honda.Mitchell and another 16-year-old boy were hit. The other victim suffered a non-critical injury to his buttocks.Mitchell died at 8:25 a.m. Sunday. An investigation of the homicide is under way, said Brimmer, but so far police don't know what led to the disagreement.
