Having been behind decks since 1996, Glasse established himself as one of the Poland’s premier dj talents. His dj career started out as nothing more than a bit of fun, but soon took on the role of a full time job. Seeing him rocking the crowds of top polish clubs these days it’s hard to believe that only few months before his proper dj debut he was still a professional tennis player winning tournaments all over the Poland. Warsaw-born Glasse grew up with music from a very young age, mostly because of his father’s obsession with blues music. In the middle 90’s he discovered the joy of dance music. Being a regular clubber almost from Warsaw’s club scene day one, it was kind of a natural move for him to turn himself into a dj. A regular traveling all over Poland followed very soon after. Glasse’s ability to rock the crowd and chose the right record at the right time has allowed him to appear regularly at Poland’s leading clubs – Eskulap in Poznan, Sfinks in Sopot, Mega Club in Katowice, Soda in Lodz, Sonobar in Bydgoszcz and most of all Piekarnia (The Bakery) in Warsaw, where he had been holding his residency for more than three years. It all wasn’t long before Glasse teamed up with his longtime friend and part-time manager Bartek Winczewski and launched an event agency called Import! Management. It’s been six years since they launched their monthly night Import! at Warsaw’s Piekarnia, which has quickly become one of the most popular series of quality club nights in Poland. Check the title of one of the Meat Katie’s and Lee Coombs’ productions (included on James Lavelle’s Global Underground Romania compilation) and you won’t be surprised where does it come from. Being Import! resident dj Glasse has supported all the dj stars playing at this night so far including Nic Fanciulli, James Zabiela, Desyn Masiello, Lottie, Yousef, Futureshock, Wally Lopez, Seb Fontaine, Gus Gus, Tom Stephan, MYNC Project, D Ramirez, Paul Woolford, FC Kahuna, Paul Jackson, Lee Coombs, Hernan Cattaneo, ATFC, Lee Coombs, 16B, Paul Harris (Dirty Vegas), Miguel Pellitero, Lisa German, Nico De Ceglia, Dave Taylor, Meat Katie, Jon Marsh, Pete Gooding and many many more. Apart of that he has played with such a big dj names visiting Poland in the past few years as Paul Oakenfold, Darren Emerson, Danny Howells, Chemical Brothers, Funkangenda, Tom Novy and many more.. In 1999 Glasse played at the very first official Ministry Of Sound Tour party in Poland as the only one polish dj included in the line-up. In the beginning of 2001 he traveled to Czech Republic to perform at Mecca club and Radost FX in Prague. In the summer of 2003 he performed at polish edition of the legendary Creamfields festival. In 2003 saw him playing two abroad gigs – Fokused (Stockholm) and The Cross (London). It wasn’t his first London gig though as in March 2002 he played at KHZ night at The End supporting Luke Brancaccio and Futureshock’s Phil Dockherty. It was a late May-early June 2004 period when Glasse played two of his the most important international gigs so far. At the 21st of May he played a headline set at Going Places night at top London’s club Turnmills. Three weeks later he made a special appearance at Global Underground night at Air club in Tokyo, Japan. He got back to London’s Turnmills playing at The Best Of Going Places night. In January 2005 he took a long journey to Argentina to perform on open-air party (in front of 2500 clubbers) near Cordoba. In February 2006 he played at Edinburgh’s club The Venue. Two months later Glasse traveled to Dubai to perform at Mix Club @ Grand Hyatt alongside DRamirez and Funk'D'Void. In 2007 he did two gigs in London @ ClubBoulevard, at the night called Electrovibe. Since 2005 he is a music manager and a resident dj in of most popular and famous beach bar at the polish seaside - Solar. He is a dj behind three 'Import!' mixed compilations (cds include tracks from Gus Gus, Nic Fanciulli, Paul Jackson, DRamirez, Francois Dubois, Jimpster, Tom Middleton, Rodamaal and more). Apart of his club djing activity, Glasse was running his own show on national polish dance orientated radio Radiostacja for four years. In 2002 and 2003 he was voted one of the three best djs in Poland in polish dance magazine Laif Top 100 DJs Poll. Other two djs play techno tough, so there’s simply no more popular house dj in Poland. Glasse is mostly famous for his long sets playing the finest selection of tribally but still funky orientated house music. Sometimes he likes his beats to be a bit darker and tougher, but progressive it’s not. Let him play for four hours or more and he’ll be in heaven. He’s a great entertainer too.
