Press Release:
Atlanta, GA - Midnight United first "united" at Eyedrum, a small venue known for harboring unique and eccentric musicians of the local Atlanta music scene, 1 year ago, to play for a magnificent creative arts collaboration organization called The Hent Project. They started by playing music written by frontman, Jesse Tyler, which was very calm and folk oriented. But with a powerhouse musical mastermind and drummer/guitarist/bassist/pianist/all around musical genius Johnny Harrell, sitting in the back with drumsticks ready to fly, that would have to change.
Soon after a discovery, thanks to guitarist Christian Clark, of a major inspiration in the band Ours and frontman Jimmy Gnecco, Tyler's songwriting began to shift into new terrritories, away from the organic touchy-feel good folk, into a more edgy, experimental rock and roll. "I started listening to this new, really interesting music that I wouldn't have heard before, and sat down one night with a pen and saw the blank piece of paper completely different," said Tyler of his first experience writing rock and roll music. His folk songwriting influence remains throughout their songs and plays a large role on the upcoming album Everyone's A Bit ______ Sometimes..., which was recorded, mixed and produced by lead guitarist Andrew Walker. The album is based on the concept that as human beings we all feel the same emotions and/or have the same experiences, to a certain degree, at one point or another. The trick is sorting out how we percieve those emotions and experiences and how differently they change each of our paths. "We're all so different but we all relate to each other so well. That's because everyone's a bit....whatever they are sometimes."
The debut of Everyone's A Bit ______ Sometimes... does not have a set release date, but should be appearing shortly on iTunes and other major online distribution sites.
Tyler hopes listeners will take two things from his music. Of course, there’s entertainment and musical satisfaction, but above all, he hopes that those who have inspired him will recognize their impact on his life in the songs.
