Kaidun

Gian Affolter is an eclectic musician since his early childhood.
Born in 1983 he was always fascinated by different instruments.
He used to play the saxophone for many years and also
other instruments as the guitar, the E-bass and also the steel drum.
In the late nineteen’s he got in touch with the psytrance scene
and liked this kind of electronic music, in all its different colors.
So he made his first experiences and soon, in 2002,
he decided to produce his own music.
After practicing for four years in his own home studio,
he founded in 2006 together with Rafael the minimal/electro project
“mindwipe”. Just a few months later Gian could release
his first two minimal tracks on the electro label elastic trax.
As open minded and dedicated musician Gian started in 2008
a new full on project called KAIDUN
and worked out a new plastic round, chunky Full on / Psy trance
live act with rolling baselines and crushed melodies.
In June of the same year he got part of the psytrance label
space nomads and played at many festivals.
His unique style and diversity of musical expression are trademarks
for this talented and upcoming psytrance artist.
In november 2008 KAIDUN was signed by the swiss based
psytrance and progressive trance label nandan production,
and they really look forward to for the collaboration and to realize
some common projects.
The first release from Kaidun is already intended and you’ll hear
for sure a kaiund track on the first nandan production compilation,
which will be released in March 2009.
