I love "The Princess Bride" and "The Labrinth" they're two of the best movies ever made! LOTR is visually stunning and a cinematic breakthough. "Music From Another Room" is another favorite as is "Rookie of the Year" and "First Kid. My favorites are really the movies that I grew up watching. I guess it brings back good memories and reminds me of a time when life was good... simpler, only because of my naivete. Being young and oblivious to certain things is to be coveted. I wish I could return to then. But anyway, back to movies, the subject at hand...I tend to have a slew of random movie favorites at any given point in time. Though I really haven't seen alot of the movies that "everybody's" seen. I will in time.
I don't have much time for television, since I work all day and most nights try to fit in a dance class or two. But when I have time, I love "Are You Being Served", "Keeping up Apperances", and occasionally "As Time Goes By". British humor is awesome! Over the past year I've also enjoyed the typical "girl" programs, such as, "What I Like About You", and "Gilmore Girls". I'm also rather fond of Food Network and HGtv. And more often than not, I'll get caught up in a random show on the History or Science channel because my brother watches that stuff religiously and once I walk in the room and catch a minute or two, I'm hooked. They have some really interesting, random stuff on most of the time. I blame it all on my brother!
I love reading, it's one of my favorite pastimes. So here's a few books: The Picture of Dorian Gray, The Counte of Monte Cristo, Persuasion, Wuthering Heights, Beowulf, The Mabinogion, and most anything by Robert Louis Stevenson or Jane Austin. (In addition, I also love JRR Tolkien.)
My mother is a constant amazment to me. Her strength, faith, and perserverence utterly astound me and inspire me every day that I am fortunate enough to be influenced by her. She's helped me though tough times and has always been my strong-hold and a rolemodel.
