Twenty-ish years ago Andy Suzuki was born in the DC area, and like all good half-Japanese children, he played piano for the first few years of his early childhood. By the time he reached 4th grade, like all little kids seeking to rebel, he insisted on quitting. He wanted to sing. (That is what rebels do. They sing.) It wasn't until the end of his senior year in high school that he picked up the instrument again and began to merge his passion for singing with his desire to relearn the piano.
In his first year at Brown University in Providence, RI, Andy joined forces with Kozza Babumba, a Boston native, who can drum on anything you put in front of him. His drum of choice is the djembe. In his final year at Brown University he linked up with Jason G (electric violin) and Aviad H-C (guitar, bass). He is now playing with Nicolai Kaarsen (bass) and Jon Kraus (drum kit).
