Most people on here know me; however, lately I've been using Myspace as a tool to catch up with old friends. So the following is for them.
I still live in West Virginia - Charles Town to be exact. My wife Jessica and I share a new-to-us home along with our two small dogs, Cash and Lola. Just recently we got married after being together for over 6 years. My life focuses around many things but most importantly my home, my work and having fun.
Since my junior year of high school I began planning for my career. It's finally paying off financially, but I still have a way to go to get to the top where I would like to end up being. I'm taking baby steps though by constantly tackling the unknown and bettering myself as much as I can.
For sometime I was very serious about making it big in the music business. Although I have lost the drive to do so I am still an avid drummer. I am extremely proud to say that both Saluda Cymbal Company as well as Silver Foxx drumsticks have offered me endorsement deals. As of now I am still drumming with the proud Saluda Cymbals logo on my drum set. Three local bands can say that I played a part in their history.
- Cow Tipped was an alternative punk band which I was in from 2000 through 2002. Though Cow Tipped played a good volume of out of town shows they never made it into any well known music scenes other than the Shepherdstown scene where they along with other bands of that time formed the local music scene into what it is today.
- Locus of Control called me their drummer for the entire duration of the band's existance - a whole 6 months. The band was formed by another ex-Cow Tipped member and myself. The music that we wrote was best describe as melodic hardcore. Though it was easier on the ears than Cow Tipped was in most cases, there were only 4 or 5 original songs. Locus of Control too never made it into any major scene.
- Soul Intension was started in early 2003 and is still rocking to this day. The music, which is a blend of funk and modern rock, is what some have described as "musician's music". From 2003 until late 2007 Soul Intension was pushing to go big. The band made out well in the 30 to 40 mile radius surrounding Charles Town. In the DC/Northern Virginia music scene the band too found success, though not as large and justifying as back at 'home'. In late 2007 I decided to leave the band due to my faded drive and interest in pushing the band to the big leagues. The music business just simply burnt me out. However recently I re-joined the band with the other 2 original members with a different agenda - keep it local, keep it fun.
Other than drumming, my other major passion is hunting. From the time bow season opens in October until the last gun season closes in December it is very hard to find me. It is something that I love to do. Last year I successfully harvested 4 deer which were all bucks. I am sure that last year's season is going to be my best for a long time.
Now for my existing friends. For those who have lost contact because of my lack of internet access, send me a message. I still have a cell phone with the same number that I've had for the past 5 years. So call me.
