I live on the North Shore of Oahu, and sometimes I can't believe it.I've lived alot of places, but Oahu feels like home. I feel like I'm living in my place, with my people. Living every day to the fullest like it is their last. Living the Aloha spirit is real, and when you experience it, there's nothing like it..
A friend once that I'm a free spirit, and its true. I don't let anything hold me back from living my life. I don't understand the word "can't". I don't let age or societal pressures determine what I can or can't do. I just do it...I'm a real person. Nothing hidden, no filter my friends say..... haha sometimes I wish I could just shut my mouth!........Anyone close to me knows that once you are in my heart, I'll do anything for you, and my true friends will tell you that. I choose my friends very carefully, and I feel that I have been carefully chosen by them as well.... I can't say how much I value honesty and and truth....what is the substance of anything unless it is seen with clarity so it can be clearly defined?.....I find that I can appreciate and learn something from everyone that I spend time with. Young,old,but especially old. I have had brilliant discussions with elderly people, they have so much wisdom. so much life experience.Its amazing how much one can learn from anothers experience if they are open to it.I would rather learn from another's mistakes than experiencing it on my own...God knows though, I guarantee I've made more mistakes than you.........Some would say that I am a sentimentalist, but I prefer to call it "deep" or "real"... I like the feeling of being moved by something.... I like being moved by lots of things, Whether its the lyrics or melody in a song, a movie,or something I see in everday life like a parent that loves their kids, I'm moved by things that have depth.......I also really like quotes...I can sit for hours and just read quotes....I like their simplicity, and the concise way they convey things.....
I've played alot of sports like boxing(golden gloves),martial arts-Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu,Tang Soo Do(san diego county karate championships), but I hate fighting and violence of any kind.... basketball(NAIA Division I) and my favorite is surfing. I love competing against myself and seeing how far I can go............One of my other passions is that I really enjoy making music and I hope to someday write a song that touches someone.......I like to think about what is really important in life, and do what it takes to live that way. I like the simple things in life. I'm not impressed with the typical things that most people admire like money,beauty,status. There will always be someone with more money,looks,status....All of us will get old, looks will fade, and you can't take your money with you....Its all about depth and soul,living free in your spirit.... Life really is about what is inside. Most people fail to realize that. Their too enthralled with what they see in the mirror, superficiality and being shallow. What a waste.....I believe in love and although sometimes its hard to believe in the truth of it because our world is so full of living on the surface type people, that I sometimes have my doubts,But I still believe that its out there and if done the right way, it can be long lasting...
I'm a deeply spiritual person. I think that I am getting less religious at this point in my life and I'm gravitating more to a deeper spirituality. I've realized that religion and spirituality are two enitirely different things.I find it sad that sometimes the people that draw us away from spirituality happen to be religious.Thats not the way it should be.......Its amazing how living in Hawaii can be such a spiritual experience...there are times when I'm surfing and just sitting on my board and the sun is setting, and I feel like there is this powerful energy that I can't even comprehend, it seems everything is aligned and it feels so spiritual,and there's a presence thats greater than all of us and thats pretty cool.......I live my life by a few simple codes.......When I do good, feel good, and when I do bad, I feel bad.....So I just try to do good.... I believe that you give, and give, and then give some more....I call it "The Way"....and that is my religion..........INVICTUS.
