The Mojotones

About Me

In june 2000 "The Mojotones" started as an alternative project of "The Barnpunks" who did their famous rehearsals at abandoned car cemeteries and lost barns. After a 200 Euros punishment because of "Unauthorized use of private property and drinking beer and playing music" they decided to change their unplugged barn-punkrock to a more serious way of living in the outside world. The charter members Mojo and Paholainen were authorized to do some studio recordings in Frankfurt/Germany because the rest of the rude musicians was too lazy to play under sterile conditions. "The Mojotones" were born. At this time the rest of the "Mojos" joined during their recording sessions, some were captured from an empty parking lot. The legendary "De Ville's Dungeon" studio in Frankfurt became their home for a bunch of freaky weeks.Nine songs were recorded there, engineered and mastered by the honest man Etienne De Ville. After the recording sessions De Ville screamed: "Never again!" For more informations try to catch it on the other pages. It's not for the sake of the band but it is for the sake of your own peace of mind...
