..Foureverasleep Gig Dates & Info: -- Thank you all your support! -- Will hopefully sort out some gig dates for Christmas -- All this scrolling makes me feel dizzy. Ahhhhhhhh!
The members of Chepstow four-piece Foureverasleep first met at Chepstow Comprehensive school where they all played on-and-off in a band called Dark Witness. The band fell apart and after leaving the school, Matt Widger (vocals) and Tom Hughes (guitarist) decided to do things properly and met up with drummer Rich Baldwin in his garage to have their very first practice, In Case of Emergency was born. In October 2006 Tom Sullivan joined the band on bass, leaving his former band Find Derek, and it wasnt long before the band was ready to play to the world.
In Case of Emergency played their first gig in Febuary 2007 at Chepstow Football Club, many more soon followed. The band recorded their first EP 'Emergency Exit' in May, laying down four of their ever growing line up of songs including the ever popular 'Shot Down'. Since then the boys have enjoyed a host of stunning shows, playing at various venues, towns and cities, including shows in Cardiff, Bath, Newport, Caldicot, Chepstow and Newtown. During this time they have been given the opportunity to play with amazing bands such as Back Alley Sally, Wide Range Readers, The Coloursound Experiment, Elovate an..ospazz. As of 2008 the band became Foureverasleep as friends and family of the band consider InCase of Emergency to be to long a name.
This is a band that is going from strength to strength, a band that constists of four talanted musicians who are constantly pushing themselves to improve and better themselves and their music. We have a number of new songs ready and waiting to be recorded for realases in the summer of 2008. hope you all enjoy! As of mid September the four members In Case of Emergency will be going their seperate ways. Tommy and Rich are heading off to SIHE in Swansea and Widger is going to university in Gloucester. Tom is sticking around for now, working full time in bristol for the bank of scotland. The band is hoping to play a few more gigs during the next year or so and have a charity gig planned for late 2007 so make sure you watch this space.
Many many thanks to everyone that has supported and helped the band during the last year, you have all been awesome. A special shoutout to the members of Back Alley Sally, Random Influence, our photographers Sarah and Becky and our biggest fan Hayho for being there at nearly all of our gigs. It's been a crazy year. Thank you and good luck. We will see you all soon!- Tommy
