The Biography of:Barz aka James BlondBorn July 8th 1981 in Brentwood NY. Michael "James Blond" Maida is a musician of Irish/Italian decent. After starting off with the emcee name Barz (from the slang word for lyrics) he later changed his name to James Blond (given to him by Rick Posada and Sal Truscelli because of his blond hair and clean cut look) reflecting his strong swagger on the microphone. For over a decade James Blonde has showered the underground hip hop scene with countless hits. With hard hittin punchlines and stinging lyrics it's no secret why every mixxtape is genius with no filler content. his tecnique and charisma take a backseat to no one. A true entertainer with undeniable talent. No conversation about talented emcees or underground hip hop should go without mentioning james blonde. He is truly the tip of the sword. Let's not forget that his radio ready hits are refreshing as well as original, these classics break down the color lines and cliche's that can end a white rappers career, destroying the competition. His music knows no ethnicity dangerously riding the border of gray areas. After working with many independent labels such as Juss Music/Big Man Productions and Real Tyme Records he would be signed by Sal Truscelli (C.E.O of UnderBoss Inc.) becoming the first major artist of UnderBoss Records in 2003. During this time Sal Truscelli (Barz’s C.E.O and manager) Would start a seriously strong long lasting relationship with Rick Posada who is more known for his work at Electra Records, being the head of A&R’s and contributing to platinum and gold artist Busta Rhymes and Ol’ Dirty Bastard, help in the discovery of Jessica Simpson, and be responsible for over 3.5 million records sold. This would create the foundation for Camp UnderBoss and the James Blond Movement.From the artist himself:When James was asked about the development of his career thus far he would go on to say:“Being one of the first major white hip hop artist seriously invested in coming out of New York, It is like having and 0-2 count in the bottom of the ninth with you team down by 3 runs and the bases are loaded.
