About Me

Doubleplusgood began as a human beatbox collaboration between friends in 2000 using violas and Roland 303 and 505 Grooveboxes. 2002 saw beatboxing plus instrumental/ambient backgrounds, 8-track demos called "Reasons to..." and live presentations with local hip-hop artists and solo presentations. 2004 saw early work on The Tribe of the Lost Pigeon, which used a myriad of live, beatboxed, programmed, sampled, and sung parts ending in a 2009 release under June Records. Doubleplusgood is work done primarily under the pseudonym Memo who drums for New Mexico bands Cherry Tempo and The Coma Recovery and currently resides in Albuquerque with friends and a french bulldog named Elliot Sniff.
