About Me
During the past 15 years, I have been a faculty member at John Burroughs Middle School. I have served the L.A Unified School District for 30 years.I play woodwinds (sax, flute, and clarinet). Majored in music education at Cal State Los Angeles. I'm an unsung product of Locke High School.Performing with one of my former students I received a gold record. Skee-Lo received two Grammy nomination and sold 500,000 CD's. I've performed with Jerry Butler, Buddy Colette,and Hoeace Tapscott.Every Saturday morning at the World Stage's youth workshop, I hold my students accountable. Aside from the usual theory, harmony chords and scales, I impart wisdom, urging students to gaze deep within themselves. It is my way of giving back.
