About Me

As a saxophonist, I enjoy playing jazz, blues, funk and swing. The music I prefer comes from the 40s, 50s and 60s when the saxophone was king. Although a banker by day, I have been fortunate enough to play in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (pictured to the left) and to receive part of my music education through sharing the stage with several former members of Roomful of Blues and the Duke Robillard Band, including Doug “Mr. Low” James, “Sax” Gordon Beadle, Carl Querfurth and Mark Teixeira in various clubs in and around Providence, RI.Bands include The SOS Big Band; a Cumberland, RI based organization dedicated to preserving the "Sounds of Swing" popularized in the 1940s and “The Late Night Horns with Barry B", a six-piece R&B, swing and funk band. Additionally, I still play with “The Residuals” from time-to-time; a Rock & Roll/R&B band made up primarily of employees from Banc of America Leasing. We are the 2003 winners of Fortune Magazine’s “Battle of the Corporate Bands” at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, OH and now gig primarily for special occasions and fund raisers.
