Jason began playing in the NHL in 1993 for the Edmonton Oilers and was then traded to the New Jersey Devils in the 1997 - 1998 season. In 2000 Jason scored the double overtime Stanley Cup winning goal for the New Jersey Devils against the Dallas Stars. Jason went on to play for the Dallas Stars in the 2001 - 2002 season.
