Welcome to the 27th annual Mulberry Fork Canoe and Kayak Race and Festival. The Festival is an annual celebration of Alabama Whitewater. The fest includes the annual Mulberry Fork Canoe and Kayak Races, which are part of the Alabama Cup race series and also the Dixie Division Open Boat Championships. But even more important it is a gathering of paddlers from across the country to kick off the spring paddling season in the Southeast. The event this year will be March 1st and 2nd of 2008 , and will be located near Garden City, Alabama and right on the banks of the Mulberry River at 5-0 rapid, and is very convenient to Interstate I-65.Part of the celebration will be a silent auction, raffle, camping, Slalom races, downriver races, Boatercross, Dancer Class, BBQ dinner .The Mulberry site is spectator friendly, with a walking trail right beside the course for spectators to enjoy the day’s events and the Festival site is great place for the Festival night activities. During the day there will be vendor (s) serving food and refreshments so just bring a cushion to sit on while enjoying the race.- - -- - -
