Heyho all of you readers,
My name is Thomas Azier, born in the year ’87 in Holland. Started playing piano when I was five, started singing in highschool and picked up some other instruments along the way. I’m not very fond of big fancy biographies so I’d only like to share some of my views on music. What I’m writing derives from intense emotions. I recognize that if you completely express yourself musically, people get touched. When the music originates straight from the heart, it goes straight to the soul. For me, this is the core of true soul music. Then it’s honest & authentic. I’m into old jazz and soul records as well as into popmusic, electronic stuff, romantic classical music or whatever. As long as it gives me a certain emotion.
A broad spectrum of impressions inspire me, whether it’s art, different musical genres, people, clubs, cities, poetry etc.. At the moment, I like working together with different artists who are open minded too, in for experiments and seeing where sound can go, transcending boarders and blending musical genres. I don’t give a shit which scene, style or genre you’re in, as long as an interaction is energetic.
I believe that I'm part of a new generation of young people, who study interdisciplinary, 'cause we have access to almost any information. In our music players we listen to Hiphop next to Classical, African or Popmusic. There are no style-boarders. Also our blood is mixed in our veins; we root from different cultures. This whole idea of transcending boarders, I am applying into my music.
I’m currently working on possibilities to release my songs, which I write, record and produce in my home in Berlin. I’m very open minded, so please contact me in any case.
