Every band should have a unique sound, and I strive to make sure this happens. What's the point in all sounding the same?
I am a drummer so I am obsessed with drum sounds and parts. I can also play guitar (classical), bass and keys. I love capturing the live feel and energy from a band but adding a bit of polish. I’m a bit of a taskmaster as I always push to get the perfect take rather then rely on pro-tools to save the day. For me it's about finding what's unique about a band and letting that shine through.
I usually work out of Stakeout Studios (.com) which is a great studio located on an island in the middle of the river Thames. It has really spacious rooms, great gear, cool vibe, good location and very reasonable prices.
I'm really excited about this year, as I am producing and mixing some brilliant bands and meeting some really cool people.
