This year I turned 30. Not knowing the psychological implications involved with the abstract transition from the 20's, I just chugged along doing what I was doing. However, I found myself becoming more active and pro-active about what I was doing with my time. One day I realized that turning 30 became a catalyst to get more out of life.
Anyway, in the last year I decided to apply to business school as I became determined to get out of the mundane sameness of the low-level positions of the hospitality industry. Accepted to USC, I'm now working towards the MBA.
Aside from school, I've become more physically active this year. The biggest past time right now is walking the slackline. Similar to tightrope walking, it's a great way to develop strength and balance. Maybe you've seen me on Burton Way doing it on the grassy median.
I'll write more later.
