Many people find it hard to believe that it comes from a sixteen-year-old boy. Principe was born in Passaic, New Jersey on September 14,1991. His parents Nilsa Santana and Pedro Columna had issues on how to raise their child in the ?States? so they sent him to live in the Dominican Republic with his grandmother and other family members. It was there where Principe started to learn about rhythm. Growing up he learned native music genres such as Merengue and Bachata. Later in his life he was introduced to ?Playero.? These mix tapes of Reggaeton and Spanish Hip-Hop was what gave Principe the inspiration to become a musician. When Principe returned to the states, he got involved in many extra curricular activities such as dance, spoken word, and helpful after school programs.? El Comienzo? (the beginning) is the album that Principe is right now working on. Producer/engineer Drastic is one of the important assets to the album. The album consists of solo songs and collaborations with other local reggaeton artist, such as Drastic, Kazadon, Info, and Nixx P. On May 27,2007 Principe performed one of his singles with Kazadon called ? Ella Se Suelta,? at Harlem Children Zone?s first annual Fashion show. The album is also being promoted over the Internet for example: Myspace, Hi 5, MSN, Migente, and Sound Click. Since Principe is a High School Student he is also being promoted in other High Schools in the city. Non Profit organizations are also being very helpful. Organizations like Harlem Children Zone, and The West Side YMCA of Greater New York.In late 2006 Principe and other Reggaeton artist started their own small Entertainment Company called H2H Entertainment. H2H stands for Hand 2 Hand, this names was translated from a Spanish saying ? mano a mano,? this saying meant that they will help each other out hand to hand. H2H is more than a company; it?s a brother hood that consists of others who have a hunger to make good quality music. This summer will be an H2H summer, many H2H artist are going to debut albums and demos and a H2H Entertainment Mix tape.
