We were born in Cheesewater County just down by Carrot Creek, Sugar Island (1979) but Sadly we were forced to abandon our home in january 1991.The days that followed the big flood were hot....really hot, the water that had mixed with the sugary sand turned into, at first a deliciously sweet syrup but by wednesday it had turned into a hard crust candy covering the entire island, destroying everything. At the time of the "hardening" we were harvesting a particularly difficult coco nut and managed to keep our feet out of the sticky situation. After working three years for BHP on a pumping rig off the south west of Argi-Bargi we spent 6 months in the whore houses and kick boxing rings of southern Thailand. Broke and destitute, once again our hearts were longing for the blue waters of the south pacific. In 1994 we arrived in Tuvalu looking for employment. Our first job was in Nanumanga playing Beatles covers in the main street for change. We called our band the sugar boys (later to become known as 'the demerera sugar band')A fter a show stopping tour of Scandinavia and Western Europe we recorded several tracks with several underground Spanish outfits such as PURPALPAIN and Los Bomberos.We are currently working in tourism and hospitalities in Tuvalu mainly in and around Funafuti, still writing heaps and playing mainly private functions on the weekends. A Central American tour is being planed for sometime early in 2008 but we'll see how that pans out.........
