Bianca Hösli

Soprano Bianca Hösli started her professional music studies at Lahti Concervatory, which she finished in 2007 qualifying as a musician; singer. She has continued studying towards a Bachelor's degree in classical music education at Metropolia Polytechnic University in Helsinki (former Helsinki Polytechnic University Stadia), from which she will graduate in 2010.Bianca Hösli is currently studying classical voice under the guidance of opera singer Ritva-Liisa Korhonen. She has also studied voice with opera singer Brita Margareta Brandt (formerly known as Margareta Haverinen), as well as Risto Saarman, Anneliina Koskinen and Vikke Häkkinen. She has also participated in a master class of opera singer Lilli Paasikivi.During her studies Bianca Hösli has performed the roles of The Governess in B. Britten's The Turn of The Screw, Die Königin der Nacht in W. A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, Despina in W. A. Mozart's Così fan tutte, Amor in Gluck's Orfeus & Euridice, Miss Pinkerton in Menotti’s The Old Maid And The Thief, La zia in Puccini's Madama Butterfly and the Angel in a medieval sacred drama called Visitatio Sepulchri by an anonymous composer. She has also performed selected parts of the following opera roles: Lucia di Lammermoor (Donizetti: Lucia di Lammermoor), Die Königin der Nacht and 1. Dame (W. A. Mozart: Die Zauberflöte), Lakmé (Delibes: Lakmé), Cendrillon (Massenet: Cendrillon) and Susanna (W. A. Mozart: Le Nozze di Figaro). Bianca Hösli has been engaged to Savonlinna Opera Festival Choir since the season of 2006.Bianca Hösli has performed sacred music both as a soloist and as a choir member. She has sung as a soprano soloist in Pergolesi's Stabat Mater and parts of soprano soloist in Mozart's Requiem as well as Händel's Messiah. As a choir member she has sung such works as Mozart's Requiem, Händel's Messiah, Bach's Magnificat, Cantata 147 and Christmas Oratorio.Bianca Hösli has been giving regular solo recitals since 2006 and she sings in concerts with other singers and different compositions, too. She is very active in the music field and has acquired skills also in producing concerts and an opera, as well as being a member of opera associations, and in teaching classical voice and music theory.
