Am I a band? Who knows... On my first album, Boleroad, I played all instruments, wrote all songs, sang, recorded, produced and mastered the entire album. Does that make me a band? I don't know. What I know is that I like to write songs and record/ perform them. My music could be described as Americana, but the language is Dutch. Believe me, writing in Dutch is quite an endeavour. It's all too easy to get trapped into so called 'levensliederen', the kind of songs that one bellows across a crowded bar after having more than a few too much drinks. My main goal is to write lyrics and melodies that capture the way I feel and the things that occur in my life. Is there more to say? Americana, Dutch lyrics, multi instrumentalist, songwriter. Ah yes, I'm a christian and it's impossible to seperate faith from life from music. Believe me, it's not 'praise and worship' and all that, still it's my way of saying 'thank You' to God.
