About Me

Slightly Off is a husband and wife duo who have chosen beautiful Umina Beach on the NSW Central Coast as their home. Leila originally hails from sunny Florida in the good ol’ U S of A but came to Australia at the turn of the millennium to be with Carl, who was lucky enough to be born an Aussie. On Australia Day in 2006, Leila proudly joined that select club of 20 million people with Australian citizenship.
Carl and Leila have been performing together since they first summoned up the courage to perform publicly at their own wedding in February 2004.
Carl and Leila perform their own slightly off (only slightly!) material mixed in with obscure songs they have found along the way. Dark humour is always a big part of a Slightly Off performance, along with Leila's zany antics and wacky instruments. Carl plays the guitar and sings while Leila sings and plays her odd collection of instruments. For Carl and Leila, the most important aspect of any performance is for the audience to have a good time. Leila is a professional artist as well and provides the CD art as well as other things.
Leila is a professional artist that specialises in animals. If any organised charity group in Australia is having a fund raiser please send us an email so maybe she can help! See some of her artwork here:
