.. The Divided Side’s first Album, completely composed by Dave Potts titled Summer Seems Somber came out in 2006. It was recorded in Yucca Valley, CA at Attitude Knob Records. Free downloads of all the songs are available at Betarecords.com. The second CD, In Faith & Failure is being released the summer of 2008. It was recorded in Winterset, IA at Shamrock Recording.
Dave Potts' love affair with music began as a youngster and his passion for writing metaphoric lyrics and composing intricate melodies lead him to tour all over the United States with several bands. Dave began his journey with his first band, A Story Ending in 2000 and toured with several bands until 2005 such as; Stalins War, Nural, Hopes Fall, Ten Seconds To Go, The Obvious, Blood Factor 5 with members from Me First & The Gimmie Gimmies, The Sharktopus, At The Spine, and Reverend Horton Heat.
Brandon Hills was added to the band as the drummer coming from Searching For North . Brandon is no stranger to the music scene and has toured with several bands such as 3rd Day, Jars of Clay, Superchick, Starlit Platoon, Spoken, Run Kid Run, After the Tragedy, Everyday Dying, A Life Echoed, Stellar Kart, Seven Eves, and Children 18:3.
