!- PUT BIO CONTENT BELOW THIS LINE -!Described as "a worship band with keen rock sensibilities," Mile7 crafts songs that capture the listener with relevant lyrics and memorable hooks. From the audiences of thousands on the summer festival circuit to just a few dozen concert-goers at small clubs in the middle-of-nowhere, the band traverses the country to share the message of redemption through Jesus Christ. It's a timeless message wrapped within a modern package of radio friendly music that appeals to a young adult demographic.

Mile7's 2008 release, "The Afterglow EP," has extended the band's fan base by appealing to those who are impressed by its determination to write songs with a bold Christian message coupled with an uncompromising commitment to songwriting and musicianship. The songs are immediately familiar with traces of Delirious, Mute Math, and David Crowder*Band evident amongst the influences, but the band molds the disparate styles into a singular, focused sound.

The band utilizes traditional rock elements such as drums, bass, and guitar along with the unorthodox inclusion of lead vocalist John Porter's violin. The classical instrument has been integrated seamlessly into mile7's modern style where Porter can play rhythm or lead parts with equal skill.

"It really adds another element to the band," says bassist Danny Flowe, "Especially in the live setting where we really feature [the violin]."

Mile7 in concert is equal parts energetic worship service, rock show, and comedy hour. The musicianship quickly draws in the audience and crowd interaction keeps the audience in lockstep with the band as the set progresses from high energy to intense emotion to sincere praise and back again. Still, the most distinct feature remains the group's focus on Christ. The band notes that fans are just as likely to walk away from an event talking about how they experienced worship in a new way as they are to talk about a particularly cool moment in the set.

That's exactly the way Mile7 wants it, a concert about something that lasts far longer than the moment that the final note fades.!-- END BIO CONTENT --- DO NOT CHANGE CODE BELOW ---!
