I am a composer, currently ensconced in a long-term project to put the Bible to music. The style/styles of music for this project reflect my musical likes (see my MUSIC section).
I am a member of Grace Community Church, pastored by John MacArthur, my spiritual mentor. Grace is non-denominational, evangelical, and committed to expository Bible teaching (teaching through a book of the Bible verse-by-verse).
I am politically an Independent. I believe that partisanship is a grave danger to our society whether it be Republican or Democratic, Conservative or Liberal, Right or Left. I believe in the Constitution as the Law of the Land. I believe in the form of Government created for us by the Founders which is a Constitutional Republic. I do not believe in the form of government we now have which is a Socialist Democracy. I believe that the fact that our form of Government has changed, and that most people seem to be unaware of that fact is largely because of the previously mentioned partisanship which has blinded people to what is happening to our country. I believe in small government, and the power residing with the people which is how our Founders apparently wanted it. I also believe that an unelected and powerful relative few want to end our freedoms and sovereignty and subject all to their control. I believe that the current chaos in the Middle East is one of the steps they are taking to do this, as they wish to Democratize the whole world. I believe that this is leading inexorably toward a global government, a global economy and a global religion, all presided over by a global leader. And I believe that this is all clearly foretold in the Bible. And believe it or not, I have a good sense of humor.
