My name is Rodrigo S. Madero I started playing guitar at the age of 11, my father used to play as a hobby so I asked him to show me a few chords and I really liked it so a few weeks after I started taking lessons in the 21st CENTURY MUSIC school in Madrid. When I was 14 I started jamming with some schoolmates and we formed the band DOMINIO and we got to play in places such as ROCKOLA BAR (Madrid) EL CAPITAN HADDOCK (Madrid)...
At the age of 18 I did an audition for the prog metal band ESCAPE TO PARADISSE and once in, we wrote a totally new set including 8 new songs composed and arranged by every member of the band; with them I played in places such as AQUALUNG (Madrid), ARENA (Madrid), PSILICONA (Madrid)...
We also enrolled in the international contest EMERGENZA and we got to the final phase where I won "THE BEST GUITAR PLAYER" prize which was a Music Man Sub guitar.
At the age of 18 once I finished high school, I enrolled in the PROFESSIONAL GUITAR PROGRAM in the 21st Century Music school, where I graduated with honors, and I started teaching private lessons.
After that, I decided to continue my music studies, so I went to Los Angeles to attend the MUSICIANS INSTITUTE where I did the Certificate program in the Guitar Institute of technology (GIT) where I was totally focused on studying.
After I graduate, I did an audition for the latin alternative rock band CURANDEROS, with them I've played In places such as AMBIENTE (LA), SEVILLA Bar (San Diego)... and we've been touring in MEXICO for two months playing in places such us The pyramids (ROCKARGA FEST in TEOTIHUACAN), EL CHANGO (Izcalli), ROCUTLA (Puebla), BLACKROOM (df)... .
Coming back from Mexico, I started playing with another two bands besides Curanderos.
One of them was the solo project of the Mexican mariachi singer JUAN IGNACIO, with him I played in places such as the M-BAR (Hollywood). And the other was a hard-rock band called THE LOGAN, we did a 3 week west coast tour, playing almost everyday in places such as THE CAT CLUB (Sunset strip, Hollywood), VELVET JONES (Santa Barbara), GALLAGHER'S (Huntinton Beach), THE FUN HOUSE (Seattle), THE BADLANDER (Missoula), BURT'S TIKY LOUNGE (Salt Lake City), THREE KINGS TAVERN (Denver)... sharing experiences with the Norwegian band TURDUS MUSICUS.Recently I got my 3 year working permit (Artist Visa) to work in the US, and joined the band "The Mighty McFly" with which I'm working in the south every week.
