I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

As most of you have noticed I have completely made over my "myspace" page. I've decided to do my best to educate myself along with anyone, that will listen about child abuse. I recently lost a cousin, actually 2nd cousin to child abuse. My 33 year old cousin and her 36 year old husband have been beating their daughter for years. Recently Olivia's father beat her to death, literally. I never knew! I hate saying that, but truly I didn't know. Had I known I would have stepped in, and stopped it. I can not now, knowing all I have learned over the past few days sit back and do nothing about child abuse. It happens, it happens every day in this country. I can't accept that. I can't believe that society turns away from this issue, but I'm quickly learning....they do! I will be a Voice for Olivia, since she no longer has one. I will fight, march, scream and demand that the rights of children be heard and that those responsible for their injuries are brought to justice!Layout made by

Every day in the United States thousands of kids are abused. That adds up to millions of kids each year. Often children and teens are abused by the people who are closest to them like family, friends, sitters, neighbors and sometimes even teachers and coaches. These are the very people that children should feel the safest with. Please feel free to contact Childhelp for helpShaken Baby Syndrome (SBS) is a term used to describe the signs and symptoms resulting from the violent shaking of an infant or small child. Most incidents occur when a caregiver becomes frustrated with a crying baby and loses control, shaking the child to make him or her stop. “Because babies have large heads and underdeveloped necks, the whiplash action created by shaking causes the brain to bounce around in the skull, often tearing blood vessels that connect the brain to the skull. This can result in brain seizures, paralysis, blindness or death!
