My Life so far...
Recently I have returned to the UK, after spending 12 months working in fabulous hotttt, sexy, New York City.
I was born in Blackburn in 1978, but grew up in the city of Gloucester.
After school, I wanted to get out of my hometown and chose a university far far away! Mysteriously I ended up in Leicester of all places! But it was all good as I gained a BSc (Honours) Degree in Computing Sciences.
After Leicester; I decided to venture the rest of the UK, and ended up living in Luton, Bedford, Milton Keynes and London. That itself was a brilliant experience.
After Living in London, and others areas in the UK I needed a fresh new challenge; But the question next was "Where?!" ... The thinking process began! lol....... As I am big fan of HipHop and R'n'B; I immediately thought of New York! ... So off I went on my next project researching etc about visas and stuff. Within a few months I got a job and soon jetted off to the BIG APPLE to carry on my next adventurous venture!!!
Going to New York City was a blast and the most eye opening and inspiring move I have made for my career, networking and social life. It has been a rollercoaster of events and towards the end of the year I was physically drained. It truly is the City that "Never Sleeps".
It's not everyday you see T.I outside Starbucks, LL Cool J in Virgin Megastores, Cedric "The Entertainer" walking down the street, Missy Elliot doing her Xmas Shopping and nearly getting run over by Busta Rhymes! (My fault, I stopped in the road to see if it was him! lol) AND seeing Jay-Z and Diddy at a Basketball Game! Since returning, I have made it my priority to go back! Applying for my visa was tough, but now I have it...AND...I'm returning back!!!
New York City is amazing, and I have made some fabulous friends who I will cherish for life. I consider them as my extended Family! All of my "new" friends made me felt so welcome...A big Thanx goes out to them all!!!
Since being back I have not moved out of American mode and back into English mode yet, but hopefully this is all part of the re-adjustment process. I will miss many things that are typically New York, the endless beeping of cars and cabs, the smell of roasted peanuts from carts on the street and the weather that had “mood swings†constantly. Most of all I miss the New Yorkers themselves, dressed in suits and trainers for work, listening to their iPod trying to race up Fifth Avenue like an army of ants on the hunt for food. (Oh My GOD, I did that as well! lol; Hasn't times changed since being back home?!?!?!).
The fast pace of life had me thriving on minimum sleep and maximum fun (it ain’t called the city that never sleeps for nothing believe me). The late night missions to Brooklyn and The Bronx was fun and exciting, and the endless wait on the Dreaded V train to Queens was a pain, but I loved every minute of it! And not to forget the endless Basketball games I went to see at Madison Square Gardens and the Continental Arena in New Jersey (Trust me Shaq is huge) and the concerts. Definatly miss going to Jay-Z's 40/40 club, they play some sick tunez! Occasionally You'll see Mr.Jigga popping thru
On the other hand I will not miss the chocolate (not the best by far), subway weirdoes (why do they always choose the same carriage as me?), shop assistants (take that attitude and sort it out, girlfriend!) and subway doors operated by maniacs trying desperately to mangle my arms (ouuccccchhhh!), The American Football (Zzzzzzz)and the time when we ended up in Christopher Street by accident!!! (Enough said!!!, Trust me!!! lol)
What more can I say? So far, my experiences in life have taught me that everything is but a dream within a dream and to sit back and do nothing is to cooperate with the oppressor... As the famous quote goes - "A man who has a why to live for can bear almost any how"... I too am determining my how. Obstacles are those frightful things we see when we take our eyes off our goal so for now I'm enjoying life and focusing my energy on those things around me that bring me happiness.

Currently I’m working on projects for The GAME’S record label Black Wall Street, and BWS-Europe - Which is The Official European Division of Black Wall Street.
In addition I am also the “Head Of Operations†for Black Wall Street in the UK.
In this role I am supporting the careers and working directly with the following: West Coast Phenomenon, The Game, and his current roster including; Juice, Clyde Carson, DJ Haze, and Black Boy.

At Swagg MediaI I have various roles which include all New Media And Digital Marketing, along with all Technical Aspects.
Some of my duties include Function, Design,SEO tactics, coding, Worldwide distribution and updating the website with content that is Urban related(Music, Films, Gang Problems, drugs and everything that fits into our demographics).
