About Me
I was raised on a horse and cattle ranch in Texas. The cows just grazed and looked peaceful, and the horses were mostly roping horses. Beautiful creatures, animals. I had two of the best parents raise me and teach me right from wrong. I am fortunate to still have them both in my life. My parents were strict, especially my Father, which turned out to be a good thing! I am thankful that they cared enough for me to have restrictions and rules that I had to follow. I think it helps me to be a better Mother. I am very proud to say that I take after my Mom, and have always been protective of her and my Dad. I am the youngest of four kids. I have two sisters, Kelly and Holly, and one brother, Bryan, who was my protector growing up. Ok, he tortured me from time to time like brothers do, but overall, he was always there when I needed him! Today, we are as close as brother and sister can get and I truly thank God for him. My in-laws are my parents too, and I wouldn't trade the ones I have for anything in the world. My Mother-in-Law is too funny (and beautiful as well), and my Father-in-Law, well, he is honestly one of the smartest men I know.....and also handsome just like his oldest son! I also have two terrific brother-in-laws, Bruce and Barry, and a sister-in-law, Brenda, who I am so close to that we are more like real sisters.I met Brad, when I was 21, got married at 26 and had our son, Beau, four years later. Before I got married, I made a promise to my Dad that I would wait until I was at least 30 before I had a child. Two weeks after I turned 30, along came Beau! He is so smart, so handsome, and extremely FUNNY. He has the best manners of any child I know, and has an extensive vocabulary for someone his age. Beau has always been close to his Dad and me, which makes us very grateful. I have also been fortunate to inherit Brooke and Brett, my other two amazing kids, and I am so proud of them both. They are beautiful kids and I am the lucky one to have them. A long time ago I didn't know just how good my life really was! Being a wife and mother, and the feeling that the closeness to my family gives me, is something I will appreciate and cherish for the rest of my life.I know I have been extremely blessed in my life. I hope to pass on good, strong values to my kids, always be there for my parents, and keep our family traditions continuing for years to come. And as for Brad, I will love him for the rest of my life.
