The natural result of both suburban ennui and the hyper-talented minds of several close-knit friends, the Our Group of Friends collective began sometime in 2006, but the artists and musicians involved have been friends for much longer than that.
ASHEVILLE, FALL 2008
In August 2008, OGOF will be relocating to our new HQ compound in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains. It is in this pristine (and higher-altitude) setting that we hope to expand creatively as individuals, artists, and as a collective. We will begin working adamantly on several projects and ideas we've had for a while now, including a few full length albums we hope to have out by spring 2009. Expect complete sensory bliss in the very near future.
We also have a cavernous living room that's open to any musician interested in a DIY show. So if you play music and you'd like to play in Asheville, just let us know and we can try to set something up!!
Things are getting exciting... I can already tell it's going to be a great autumn!
