Wally grew up in Miami, Florida when the town was a great place to live. Went to the University of Florida, Miami-Dade College then on to Mississippi College. While traveling around he always towed his stock car racing various circle tracks across the country.
He majored in psychology and minored in education. He has been a "Life Coach", high school speech teacher, motivational speaker, airline ramp agent, stock car racer, high performance offshore boat racer and just an average guy who loves life and really nice people. His love of racing brought him into the film biz many years ago.
Wally Crowder has been working in the picture business for 30 years. Starting as a film extra he worked his way right up through the Screen Actors Guild to the Directors Guild of America. Founder and President of the Professional Drivers Association his team provides some of the finest stunt drivers to the commercial, film and television industry.
Before the film business, Wally was a school teacher at the junior high level teaching speech and racing stock cars on the weekends. His speaking ability takes him all over the country giving public speeches to corporations, schools, and youth groups on Hollywood Magic and Driving Safety.
Offshore power boats brought him the championship in 1984, racing his 32 ft. Scarab called "BLACK GOLD" to victory. Three commercials he coordinated and drove in, (Volvo, IBM, and SAAB) won Cleo's for their ad agencies.
Wally started out as a commercial driver with the famous Tom Anthony Precision Driving Team, over 25 years ago. He logged over 2000 car commercials and thousands of hours behind the wheel in front of camera. Doubling for the industries finest race car drivers, AJ Foyt and Johnny Rutherford to name a couple, has taught him a wealth of knowledge.
Two years ago, Wally had the privilege to be asked by the California Highway Patrol's, elite driving team to be a part of their high performance driving team across California as their strategic maneuver instructor.
Among the stuntwork and directing, Wally always enjoyed gospel and country music. Once was the infamous lead singer of the Black Gold Stunt Band. Wally has now teamed up with Tom Pederson, lead singer of "Clear Static" to produce and direct Wally's gospel albums. Though these aren't your ordinary gospel albums, Wally's Christian-Country songs have a more "electronic" spin on them. Hopefully to bring a little more light to the dancefloor.
