Kurt Snider(My journey) I was born in Detroit in 1963 To Jack and Wilma, I am the last born from them. We lived in Redford before it turned over 8 mile and Grand river area then we moved to Brighton in the summer of 69 we built a new house on spencer road behind kensington metro park . My father was a Union bricklayer my mom stayed home and took care of us. My father served in WW2 on airplane fuel tankers 12 times around the world and through the Panama Canal on aircraft fuel ships Gasoline tankers and then reinlisted to the Army and was sent to Japan after the bomb.He escourted courtmarshall prisoners and drove truck along with guard duty.It was there were he was injured and sent to the army hospitals.A hard worker dad drove long distances each day to work from north of Howell to the East side of Detroit(plus run the farm) each day or werever the next brick job sent him. Each year he worked long hours in the summer and to be layed off each November So our economic status changed often.After living in Brighton then we moved to Harrison were we lived for a year then back to Howell farm were I graduated from Howell high in 81 (worse place)in the old school It was the last class to graduate from the old building.(New school was built) It was the early 80's and you coulden't buy a job Ronald Reagan was doing his best to get us out of the economic nightmare the the previous got us into.I went to college in Ohio OIT for computer electronics repair and dropped that I came back to Howell were I worked at the Holiday Inn to pay back college bills then worked pumping gas at a full serve gas station Randy/Dar Barr(BP) for a year then to pinckney plastics were I worked several years 7 days a week in a sweat shop making plasic parts for the baking industry.(120 degrees in the summer)In 84 I met Janet and we decided to get a apartment together. I had several jobs and in 85 I got a job B&J plastics in metamora Dieter(owner) making custom hand fabricated parts along with vacuum formed parts. I was there only three days when the shop leader diddn't come back to work he was picked up for parking tickets so I got the lead job. Its there were I started to learn plastic and wood fabrication. I then went to work for Detroit Industrial Engineering in Troy in the summer or 86 and wed that same year. I became the plastic shop leader making prototype parts for the dashboards for crash testing then becoming leader of the PL line which is the Neon making complete dash panels for proving ground tests, AKA airbag testing. With enough life experience in hand I left that job in 91 to set out on my lifes journey I worked for (Dave Peters)Dynamics corp we produced sheet metal brakes and custom metal fabrication. Then off to a small chrysler shop in Farmington again to only leave dissapointed there to form a earlier version of what I do today!I set off to Ishpeming Mi. (UP)were I started Superior Radio waves (94)with a partner Mike Surfass we split up and Mike went to Marquette then I formed Modern Electronics (95)were I continued on with consumer electronics hung out at camp with Mike wertinan and Paul Zuba and Bob Gallup. Kolton came along in 95 and my dad passed in 96 and in 97 I sold the shop to a local lad moved downstate to take care of dear MOM then I went back in the work force to try again at a small electronics shop in mid michigan. In 2000 I invented the worlds first The Original Auto-feed Plus(r)reversing control tachometer for tree chippers. I also invented a proportional auto-feed control for Morbark that would speed up and slow down the log as the engine speed increased and decreased, Now most tree chippers are offered with a reversing system. I also have developed Radio Remote control systems for outdoor power equipment like stump grinders, tree chippers, tub grinders, dump trailers and more. I play guitar loud, collect ESP I met George Lynch in Detroit at 4am after the show, and Ibanez guitars. currently working on my top secret project. www.watchitgrind.com
