About Me

Todd Beauchamp killed the angel on his shoulder, and he wants to tell you all about it.
A storyteller to the core, Beauchamp weaves tales that are unapologetically honest and heartfelt. His songs, filled with intellect and wry humor, lend comfort to all those that have loved and lost, emoting what they've all felt, but are too afraid to say. Harkening back to the great American songwriters of the 70s, Beauchamp's debut album "Ghosts of Hollywood" tells the story of a spirit tried and tested by the city of Los Angeles with a nostalgic and quiet power.
Born in Los Angeles but raised throughout the US, Beauchamp played drums, guitar, and sang in East Coast bands such as BOB, Kobayashi Maru, Orbitland, The Kelly Ricketts Band, and scored the independent film "Beer Games" before returning to his hometown in 2002. After a four-year stint with Just Off Turner, Beauchamp took the leap to pursue his solo career, only to have his heart broken by the very city he's in love with. "Don't get me wrong, I love Los Angeles," says Todd Beauchamp "but sometimes life would be easier if I didn't."
Lyrically, the songs are about love and loss, with a through line of losing one's own innocence in the process. "I used to have an angel sitting on my shoulder/ he's gone quiet while my devil just gets bolder." Recorded in Atlanta and Hollywood from 2005-2007 with producer Jimmy Byrd (Smashing Pumpkins, Counting Crows), "Ghosts of Hollywood" showcases performances by such renowned musicians as Vinx (percussionist for Sting), internet darling Terra Naomi, and Leland Grant (The New Partridge Family).
Ghosts of Hollywood is available through CDBaby.com and iTunes. Beauchamp regularly performs in the Los Angeles area, and tours nationally twice a year.
