DJ SynthWulf, aka Electronic Elation. Started production in November 2004 using FL Studio 4.2. Currently using FL Studio 7 for all production areas. My main interest in music is Trance and Hardcore (Electronic). The genre that I make is called "Trancecore" or "Freeform". My music maintains an aura of unique-ness while shooting for that pro sound. I notice that alot of people just try to sound exactly like the big shots (Gammer, Dougal, Scott Brown, Hixxy), and in the end, everyone's hardcore just sounds the same. What happened to putting your soul into music? Nowadays everyone just relys on a cheap sample pack and templates.
I'm James; I love Magick, Kevin Wolf, nature, music, wolves, huskies, kittens, DDR, dancing, glowsticks, breakbeats, backflips, the stars, and the moon. I love alot of other things as well but it would take forever and a day to list them. Hardcore Trance is my favorite type of music currently and I put alot of spirit into the music that I make. Music is a very important part of life to me, it fills gaps that nothing else could. Without music the world would be cold and lifeless; but music is everywhere you go, not just coming from speakers, which is why life KICKS ASS!!!!
I use no loops, all individual samples (mostly free). 3xOsc and Sytrus (FL native synths). It comes to me that if you use someone elses loops, you're giving up your own talent. Make your own loops and samples, it's not hard!
As for mixing and mastering, I do it all in FL. The mixing is the hardest part, because if the levels aren't just right, you get a muddy, unclear frequency. That part usually takes me the longest to do.
I do make trance as well as happy hardcore, I can't say which I like better, both genres can be so amazing at once. My style comes from a mix of the two, really. Like really fast, or really happy trance with those flashy breakbeats in between uplifting euphoric melodies. I just want to make people DANCE!!!
