About Me

Project Thirty Two are a two piece Midlands based pop-beat combo AND HAVE PUT THE BAND BACK TOGETHER!! Yee Hah!

In the beginning, God created Projects one through Thirty One inclusive before getting round to creating Project Thirty Two which resulted in the recording of the first two songs which were posted here on this website, The Professor Brown Blues and Twenty Five Years.

All songs written and performed by Paul Faulks. Some come with a political bite, others may be either wrist openers or sloppy and sentimental, others may be intended to amuse the listener - Some people are blessed with musical talent and good voices. Unfortunately I was not dealt those cards, so I have to work within the limitations of poor playing and a crap voice. I'm not disillusioned people, but I would love to think that one day I'll write a song someone will want to perform better than I could. I'll persevere...

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: This one.
Band Members: The far too good looking for his own good Steve Brompton and Paul Faulks (The other one). Acknowledgements: Many thanks to the members of my immediate family who, for my fiftieth birthday clubbed together to purchase me the recording equipment and guitars used in the recordings posted on this website. Special thanks to my incredibly handsome brother Simon who got the ball rolling, allowing Steve and I to use his recording equipment for the Professor Brown Blues and Twenty Five Years. All Songs written by Paul Faulks (not the handsome one).
Influences: I was born towards the end of the fifties and my musical taste has obviously been steered by the music I have grown up with. My earliest musical memories would have been as a child listening to the stuff my dad used to have playing on the radio which was predominantly classical. We did however, used to listen to Ed Stewart on the radio on Saturday Mornings so he played a lot of stuff from people like Joe Brown and Lonnie Donnigan to the Beatles and occasionally the Stones. Later on when I approached my teens, I was also influenced by the music that my two elder brothers would play, so there was a lot of blues, folk and prog rock including Taj Mahal, Pentangle and Pink Floyd. I think I have quite a broad taste in music, although I can't be doing with what they now call R & B. Anyway, here are some of the other bands & artists whom I have either seen or admired down the years. The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Tom Waits Family Traffic Yes Stackridge Focus Ian Dury and The Blockheads Supertramp Eric Clapton, Ronnie Lane, Andy Fairweather Low, Jackson Brown, The Eagles, Bob Dylan, Rickie Lee Jones, Joe Jackson, The Beach Boys, Ry Cooder, Billy Bragg, Stevie Wonder, The Isley Brothers And Many Many More.
