a waltz about nothing

About Me

My name is David, and I'm a twenty-four year old male living in Hobbs, New Mexico, USA. I currently am working as a server and coffee barista at Pacific Rim Restaurant & Coffee Bar. It's alright.
I've been a student, too. A bit less than a year ago I was a music student intending to pursue a degree in music therapy. Lately I'm thinking I'd be more prudent to get a psychology degree instead; surely I can always do music therapy later if I still wish to. Of course that means starting a degree plan from scratch, too, but whatever. The truth is I really dread going back to school and would prefer not to, but I intend to make myself follow through anyway.
I'm very interested in music and have studied piano, saxophone, and voice. I've recently invested in a set of turntables and am exited about having adopted disc-jockeying as a new hobby. Even though I have many musical interests from a wide variety of genres, I am most enthusiastic about trance right now, and I'm really not interested in spinning music from other genres. Of course, this would all be much easier if I lived anywhere near a record store and maybe knew someone in person that actually gave ear to trance.
Astrology is one of my favorite areas of study, as well as one of my greatest talents. Studying and practising astrology has been one of the most important influences on my worldview.
I chainsmoke and drink coffee by the gallon, but that's about the hardest stuff I do.
I created my own profile using nUCLEArcENTURy.COM and you should too!

Please send me a message before adding me if I don't know you or if you're not sure if I know you.
I'd like to meet real friends, not just space filler. I have more than enough filler. Mind you, hit me up if you need filler, I have more than enough to spare.

My Blog

The world and I are morphing together

So I think it's been pretty close to forever since I last wrote a blog.  The reason for this is an odd combination of laziness, apathy, and disinterest.  I would like to tell you that these ...

Emergency...

Okay, so about that little emergency that truncated the last blog entry... well, to make a long story short, because I don't feel like telling the full story here, there was a crazy drunk guy with vom...

Oh, what to do!

So lately I've been trying very hard to figure something out.  Yet this is something very general.  Perhaps if I narrowed the parameters down a little bit, I'd have an easier time of arrivin...

Stagnation

So I've been in this mood for a while.  I just want something to happen.  Something, anything.  Be it catastrophic, miraculous, or way out of leftfield, something has simply got to happ...

Weekend Adventure

When I went to the L.A. area last weekend, I did my best to uphold my general rule of not carrying expectations.  Of course, there are certain things that carry a tremendous amount of emotional m...

Still an issue?

You know, sometimes I guess either I'm oblivious to the collective climate (as much as I can pride myself on estimating myself otherwise) or I'm just an optimist (highly unlikely), but I really didn't...

A change into the same old thing.

Well, I greatly dislike blogging here, but since my last one is so thoroughly outdated, I figured it's well past time to put myself through this once again. I was offered a raise and promotion at Pac...

Consistency?

Hi folks. Frequently I see friends of mine who dearly love spending a lot of time on MySpace.  There are times that I rather enjoy some aspects of it also, but the longest I ever spend on MySpac...
