About Me

I'm a little uncomfortable with the whole "about me" thing, so I'll just toss some stuff out here and leave it at that...First and foremost, I'm happily married for seven years now with two insane but beautiful kids. My wife, Rebekah, is also my partner in our business, Sixus1 Media. In the course of our business, we do 3d modeling and animation, audio and video production, music production/scoring, etc. The thing our business is probably most noted for to date is our involvement with E-Frontier in providing about a ton of stuff for the software package "Poser". To date, we've designed, modeled and animated over 600 different characters for a wide variety of clients and media (software, pc gaming, broadcast, film, etc.). Probably the most interesting project we're involved in right now is the upcoming film from Renga Media (UK based company and a damn fine bunch of folks!) called "Dominator X" where we've assisted with a number of character designs and have modeled/textured/rigged most of the main cast of characters.Outside of the Dominator-X project, we have a couple of our own film/animation projects in pre-production right now. Soon we will begin searching for voice talent and I'll post more about that here once we have our plans solidified.Let's see...Beyond the business, my big personal passion has always been music. I'm currently providing guitar and keys/synth work for the Cincinnati based band "Savage Soul" (www.myspace.com/evilsavagesoul). My previous band, "Broken Halos", lasted through six years of insanity, released four cd's through the original MP3.com (back in the day... when it was very indy friendly and hadn't been bought out by Vivendi yet.. ugh... ugh... ugh...). In time I plan to bring the mp3's of all that stuff back up for downloads just to see what the response is after a few years.A bit of history: before starting our company, I maintained a rather varied art/animation career having spent around six years drawing a number of horror comics, and helping run a three-store chain of airbrush shops back in Lexington, Ky. as well as acting as art director for a handful of web/"new media" production companies there.A bit of ancient history: as a kid, I lived out in the hills of eastern Kentucky, but in spite of the stereotypes of the locale, was obsessed with art, literature and music. At an early age, I fell head over heels in love with bands like Kiss, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Queen. I started playing guitar when I was around six years old, at first mostly to satisfy my family by doing something in the church, but in time I came to love both classical music and the metal that I listened to when noone was around. Music and comic books became my obsessions, something that I don't think will ever change.Sixus1 Media Demo Reel 2005
