The Florida Movement was first started in late 2006 by founder Mikey Lorig at the age of eighteen. He realized the struggle of his own home town friends that were trying to make it into the Music Industry. Relating to what aspiring artists go through daily to finally land that Record Deal with whoever will give them a chance. Due to the lack of support in the South, he realized it would be easier to expand to the North in hopes of more support. When the support was taken in, he decided to start his own Underground Network of Unknown Artists not only located in Florida but all over the U.S. This in turn would give any artists the chance to colloborate or simply just have their voice heard, the main reason why this company is still standing today.
With the support of his friends Mike G., Enzo Stacks and JJ Karabagli they were able to make their dream a reality. Their love of music was all equally the same and with that in mind, they began the blueprints of The Florida Movement. The meaning behind the name was not just to promote Florida, but to branch out with other local artists in their respective cities cross the U.S.
Currently, The Florida Movement has Three of their own artists under their independent label. Working with a few additional Artists under diffrent labels across the U.S. We are willing to work with any Artists as long as they show the heart, deterimation, and attitude.
The Launch Date of the Official Opening of Florida Movement took place on January 2nd, 2007
