Man charged with 2nd-degree rape of 15-year-old Enid girl
A 21-year-old Enid man has been charged with two counts of rape.Kory A. Mitchel was charged Wednesday with second-degree rape and rape by instrumentation.According to the charges, Mitchell is accused of raping a 15-year-old girl last year and a 24-year-old wo-man last week.Police were contacted May 28, 2008, by a 15-year-old girl who said she had been raped by Mitchell.According to an affidavit, the girl told police she was riding her bike when she met with a friend she knew only as Kory. The girl said Mitchell placed her over his shoulder and carried her to a house in the 700 block of North 7th where he raped her.The girl told police she told Mitchell “no” and “get off” but he wouldn’t. The girl said she eventually was able to push Mitchell off, put her clothes back on and ride her bicycle home.A Sexual Assault Nurse Examination was performed on the girl and showed signs of sexual contact and bruises on the girl’s inner thighs, according to the affidavit.The next day police spoke with Mitchell, who denied raping the girl.He admitted to having contact with the girl earlier in the evening but said the contact was only verbal, according to the affidavit.Police spoke with Mitchell again June 12, 2008. He again denied having any sexual contact with the girl. He said the girl had come to his residence, 8121⁄2 E. 2nd Pine, and there were other people at the home. He said the girl stayed for about two minutes before leaving on her bicycle.On June 20, 2008, Mitchell left Enid Police Department during an interview, and police spoke with him later about the interview.Mitchell said he had not lied during the interview but was accused of not telling the truth, according to the affidavit. Mitchell told police the girl had been with him inside his mother’s house in the 700 block of North 7th but they had done nothing.Mitchell said if everyone is saying he had sex with the girl then he would say he did, even though it did not happen, the affidavit states.Police obtained a DNA sample from Mitchell on Nov. 11, 2008, which was submitted to Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation in Oklahoma City for comparison to evidence obtained during the SANE exam.Police received the DNA results last week, which showed Mitchell’s DNA matched that taken from the SANE exam.On July 8, police again spoke with Mitchell, and he said the sex between him and the girl was “consensual,” according to the affidavit.Mitchell told police he lied in previous interviews be-cause he was “scared of the consequences of what he had done” because of the girl’s age, according to the affidavit.Police spoke with a woman July 7, and she said she had received a call in the early morning hours from a man she thought was her ex-boyfriend.The woman said the caller told her to leave the back door of her residence open, according to the affidavit. About 6:30 a.m., the woman said Mitchell entered her home through the back door, pushed her onto a bed and digitally raped her, according to the affidavit.On July 8, police spoke with Mitchell about this incident.When asked if he had contact with the woman, Mitchell denied having any contact with the woman, according to the affidavit.Mitchell said he had received a text message from the woman asking him if he had seen her ex-boyfriend and Mitchell said he replied no. Mitchell was asked if he had received any other text messages from the woman and he said no. When asked again, Mitchell admitted to receiving, and replying to, several text messages, according to the affidavit.He told police he pretended to be the woman’s ex-boyfriend and told her he was coming over to her house, according to the affidavit. He said he went to the woman’s house through the back door and went into the woman’s bedroom.He said the woman was stressed so he gave her a back massage. During the massage the woman took his hand and placed it between her legs, but he told her he could not do that, according to the affidavit.Mitchell said he gave the woman a hug and kiss and then left, the affidavit states.Online court records show Mitchell pleaded guilty in November 2008 to felony domestic assault and battery and a misdemeanor count of driving with license suspended. He received a one-year suspended sentence and was ordered to enter a batterer’s treatment program as part of his punishment.Mitchell will be arraigned this morning.

A man charged with two counts of rape was arraigned Thursday in district court, and his bond was set at $575,000.Kory A. Mitchell, 21, was charged Wednesday with second-degree rape of a 15-year-old girl last year and rape by instrumentation of a woman last week.Mitchell appeared before Special District Judge Paul Woodward asking for a lower bond.The judge denied Mitchell’s request, and upheld a $500,000 bond set on a warrant for the second-degree rape charge. Woodward also set bond at $50,000 for the rape by instrumentation charge and $25,000 on an application to revoke a suspended sentence.Mitchell is accused of raping a 15-year-old girl in May 2008. During several interviews with police Mitchell denied having any contact with the girl but later said he had consensual sex with her when presented with DNA evidence linking him to the rape, according to an affidavit filed in the case.He also is accused of entered the home of a woman July 7 and pushing the woman onto a bed and digitally raping her. Mitchell denies the allegation and said the woman had come onto him but he refused.Prosecutors also filed an application to revoke a one-year suspended sentence for domestic assault and battery.Mitchell was ordered to return to court Aug. 17 for a bond appearance.
